Marc Legros
Marc Legros is a Research Director at CNRS, Toulouse, specializing in materials physics and electron microscopy. He obtained his Ph.D. from Paul Sabatier University (UPS, Toulouse) in 1994 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University (1995–1997). He then worked as a CNRS researcher at the Laboratoire de Physique des Matériaux (Nancy, France) from 1997 to 2002, before assuming his current role at CEMES-CNRS. In 2010, he earned his Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (UPS, Toulouse).
His research focuses on dislocation dynamics, strain localization, and deep learning applications in TEM image analysis. He has authored approximately 120 publications, with recent works appearing in Nature Materials, Acta Materialia, and Machine Learning: Science and Technology.
